Last Transfer
Wow another week! Sorry i didnt email last it was crazy! Time is offically flying. I feel like it was just my pday. This week is transfers and I offically start my last transfer. I dont really know how to feel. I'm super excited and miss everyone but also Florida has become home and I will miss it! That being said all I can do is work my guts out and then when its time to be home its time to be home:)
This week I convinced my companions to knock doors with me and I was in heaven. Something about the anticipation of somebody opening the door makes me so excited and so scared hahaa! Every door we knock they speak spanish so its really effective for our area.
When we were knocking we were able to find 14 new friends to teach and 9 of them came to church and 11 came to our activity we had for Christmas. They seem super excited to keep learning and we are excited to teach them!
We had interviews this week and my mission president asked if I would train AGAIN and train a native that doesnt speak english again haha :/ I wasnt super excited but I realized thats the perfect way to grind my spanish amd learn all I can before I go home! And My companion will have to learn to love to knock doors with me haha.
This week I started my last BoM that I'll read on my mission and all the lasts were just getting to me i didnt like it haha! I also have realized that my days are limited to put my tag with the name of Jesus Christ on my chest and every day seems a little more meaningful.
As I was taking my tag off one night this week I started to think about ALL the days I have had my tag on and what I have learned. Honestly I have learned so much! I have gained so much more than I have given on my mission thats for sure but if you were to ask me the most important thing i've learned on my mission my answer would be... JESUS
I have learned more about who he is, his atonement, his love, his mercy, his attributes, his gospel, his life, etc. Its been a blessing to wear HIS name on my chest and represent Him. This really is His work and it would be much more efficient if he just did it and didny let my imperfect self mess with it. But because He is Sooo loving He lets even the imperfect work for Him so we can gain experience! Thats why his doctrine and gospel is perfect but the church memebers arent! Doesnt that show how much he cares and wnats us to become like him! He risks us messing up BIG TIME with His name on the line. That thought really humbled me this week!
Want to know what else is the best? Its CHRISTmas and we get to celebrate HIM!
"Without Christ, there would be no Christmas. Without Christ, there can be no fulness of joy. Without His birth and His Atonement, we would have no Intercessor, no Advocate with the Father, and no Mediator who makes it possible for us to return to the presence of our loving Heavenly Father and live together as eternal families." Elder Stevenson
Ponder what your life would be like WITHOUT Jesus and you will realize what a HUGE part he is in your life I promise:)
Anyway! I hope your week is full of Christmas vibes and even some snow! Love you all!
Love Like Jesus
