The Miracle Bike

Goodness! Another email! Don't worry only 5 more then you don't have to get another email from me. Honestly it was a really long week. The days and weeks are SO LONG these days! I know I will soon be looking back wishing I was still in Flordia even on the long days but goodness its rough.

This week we were able to find quite a few people! We even did some member work.... this was hard for me but I decided to give it a shot. We heart attacked some members... throw back to when we did that every week for YW (iykyk)

A couple of weeks ago we got a referral for a man who was super super cool! He really wanted to come to church but he didnt have a car. I honestly forgot about the car situation ans just sent him the invite and he said he would come. He came to church and we found out he walked 5.5 hours just to get to church! After talking to him he told us that he really just needed to save up enough money for a bike! Well the good news was that I had a perfectly brand new bike that I hardly used on mission. I told him I would give it to him!

He has been riding that bike EVERYWHERE! He comes to church every week on his bike! For me this was such an example. How often do I dread church and I have a perfectly good car. Am I willing to walk or ride a bike to make it to church? Anyway Marco rode his bike to church yesterday in the POURING rain and was able to be baptized! He cried the entire time and was full of gratitude. He really is such a pure example whats most important.

The bike is now his profile picture and he calls it "La bicicleta milagrosa" Miracles are all around we just have to look for them!

A quick thought comes from my study last night. I decided to start the new Come Follow Me study! I was reading in the Introduction and this stood out to me " These sacred revelations were received in answer to prayer, in times of need, and came out of real-life situations involving real people."

This is what I wrote in my scriptures:
- Real People
- Real Struggles
- Real Life
- Written by real people to real people which means God talks to real people!

For me sometimes I find it hard to read the scriptures because I feel very distanced from them. I dont feel I can relate and sometimes I even think of the stories as like a fanacy. But this HIT ME. These are REAL people. REAL struggles. REAL life. God can communicate and help me just like he did them! Ponder that:)

Miss you all so much! Hope everything is good. Thanks for all the love and support!
