Trio Life

Yooooo! What's good? Not Box Elder basketball that's for sure… sorry dad and krew love you

I am officially in a trio and over the Spanish ward and Portuguese branch. Lets just say it's a struggle. My Portuguese is not close to good enough. I surprisingly understand pretty much everything but speaking is a struggle. We drive all over the place which makes the work hard but we are figuring it out.

Our friend Isabella got baptized yesterday!! She was so excited when she got out of the water she was crying and ran and gave me the biggest hug. I was SOAKED! Grateful that God softened her moms heart so she could be baptized.

This week we had member meals 2 times a day. As most if you know members meals are not my favorite my favorite things so I am learning to not be picky but grateful. God has a sense of humor that's for sure.

Yesterday to kick off December I decided I wanted to start studying about the birth of the Savior. But in a way I never have before. I decided I wanted really get to know and understand each person who was involved. Yesterday I started with Mary.

But as I started to study Mary and any information I could find on her my mind started to wonder about the way she was raised. Who were her parents? Did they know that their grandson would be Jesus? I sat and thought about situations like this for more than half of my hour study. I felt like I had wasted time bit what I realized was what impact Mary's parents had on her and on each of us.

I like to think they probably didn't know Mary would be the Mother of the Savior of World. But they still raised her in a way that prepared her for that role. They raised her to love God. They set an example for her so that she could one day take care of my Savior, my Reedmeer and my friend.

I related to this and I think we all can. Whether we are parents, missionaries, friends, or even siblings we can and are helping to prepare those around us for their future. God puts people in our path for a reason. And even though I may never know the reason or understand God does. His plan is perfect.

Start now and be an example. Be the one that shows others who Christ is. Help them understand and you will never know the generations that will be blessed because you changed 1 life.

I'm grateful for Mary's parents even though I have no idea who they are. I know that because of them Mary was prepared. I am also grateful for all of the people in my life who had similar impacts. God has blessed me with the best of the best!

See you in a quick 67 days! God is good, remember that!

Live Like Jesus

Love, hermana peterson
