Reverence

Hello again! I hope you are all doing good. This week was good! We were super busy which is good! We had some meetings and some other things going on which made the week go pretty fast!

We had a zoom meeting with Elder Renlund which was good! He did a Q+A. What I loved most was that he centered everything on the savior!

This week we met some really cool new friends! We also had so many members meal.... trying to soak it all in. Even the member meals. This week there were so many times where it hit me in the face that it almoat over. All I could think of is the song "You're gonna miss this" Trace Adkins

Honestly this week I have been thinking alot about my mission. The good, the bad, the hard, the JOY, the heartbreak, the success, the failure, the change, the stress, the spiritual, the growth, the homesickness, the love, the laughs, the smiles, the food, the people, the places, the stories, the friends, the best times, the worst times, and all the little in betweens. I can't put it into words i wish I could. But the more I think about it the harder it is to find words. But one word has continued to pop into my head this week as Ive thought about my mission and that word is reverence. I decided to deep dive into the word reverence this week and study all I could about it.

Honestly when I first thought of reverence I thought of being quiet. I can still hear miss jess telling me and krew to be reverent during church.... ptsd. But when I think of my mission I dont think of quiet. So I knew i had some things to learn.

Here is some things I learned about Reverence:
- Deep respect for sacred things, wonder (guide to scriptures)
- "a feeling I get when I think of His blessings"
- "reverence is love"(childrens songbook).
- Reverence is rooted in Humilty and Love.
- Reverence is profound respect mingled with love.

Those are just a few of the things I learned! I used 6 pages of my notebook for this study! There is so much good sruff about reverence. I can now understand why that word kept coming into my head. To say I feel an overwhelming amount of reverence for my mission doesnt even begin to describe it. I AM SO GRATEFUL!

Heres one of my favorite scriptures ever! Ponder it this week:)

37 Behold the wounds which pierced my side, and also the prints of the nails in my hands and feet; be faithful, keep my commandments, and ye shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. Amen.

I love you all! Have a good week!

Love Like Jesus

Love, Hermana Peterson
